Test Protocol & Methodology
Study Design
12-week application study under dermatological supervision.
Data collection was carried out systematically at weeks 0, 4, 8 and 12. The analysis was based on standardised self-evaluation questionnaires and Canfield imaging for objective progress monitoring.
Participants
Strict selection criteria for valid results.
Of 22 enrolled women, 21 were included in the final statistical evaluation (age range 20–65 years). To avoid distortions, healthy skin around the eye area, refraining from eyelash extensions, and a serum-free lead-in period of 12 months were mandatory prerequisites.
Measurement
Differentiated analysis of growth parameters.
The evaluation is based primarily on a 5-point scale (self-evaluation) and secondarily on high-resolution Canfield images (n=20). To rule out an overestimation of volume due to potential mascara residues in the baseline images (week 0), a deliberately conservative and critical assessment of density data was applied.
Application
High compliance through simple integration.
Application was performed once daily in the evening on cleansed, oil-free skin along the upper lash line. During the test period, eyelash extensions, lash lifts or perms were avoided. The documented application compliance reached a peak average of 4.50 out of 5.0 points.

Continuous lengthening
The proportion of participants with longer or noticeably longer lashes increased steadily across all three measurement points.
From week 4 to week 12, the perceived length improved consistently and was clearly visible for the majority of women.
Delayed strengthening
The most significant change in perceived lash strength only became apparent towards the end of the 12-week application period.
The perceived strengthening of the lash structure developed noticeably upwards primarily in the final third of the application study.

The 8T3 Lash & Brow Serum works without hormones and without prostaglandin analogues (PGA). Instead, it relies on a biotechnologically produced peptide active ingredient (sh-Polypeptide-167) that requires only four ingredients.
Tolerability in the study
Under dermatological supervision, the serum was tested for ocular mucous membrane irritation, changes in iris colour and the development of dark circles. None of these adverse events occurred.

Participants with lower baseline values tended to show the strongest effects. Please note: these values are reported as documented peak values and do not represent a group average.
As individual baseline images (week 0) showed visible mascara residues, the volume values in the analysis were assessed more conservatively than the length or strength parameters in order to ensure maximum data integrity.
